The Twin County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the election of Dale Alward as Vice-President of the Board of Directors as of February 26, 2019.
Mr. Alward joined the Chamber Board in December 2017 and has been active member and advisor to the organization. Mr. Alward currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Twin County Regional Healthcare.
Mr. Alward has a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He also holds a Master of Public Administration from Troy University in Troy, Alabama. He is a Board Certified Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and enjoys taking an active role in his community. He has served on numerous boards and associated committees to include the YMCA, American Heart Association, United Way, as well as additional Chamber of Commerce Boards in Miami and Englewood, Florida. Mr. Alward also served almost 24 years in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service as a Health Care Administrator in acute care and tertiary hospitals at several U. S. Air Force bases both in the United States and in overseas locations. Mr. Alward is also a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Military Officers Association of America and the Air Force Association.
The Twin County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors consists of twenty-one directors with each locality represented by seven.
Chamber members are encouraged to contact the Chamber as the Board of Directors and Executive Director are seeking individuals to serve on committees and volunteer teams for local events.
The Twin County Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1966 and serves 170 members in the Carroll County, City of Galax, and Grayson County area.
